Be mindful of quarterback vision.

New to the game in 2006, QB Vision matters. The cone of vision indicates where a QB is most likely to complete a successful pass. Throw out of this area and expect a pick. One of the best things you can to maximize your throwing efficiency is putting the vision cone in the middle of the field before snapping the ball. By default the cone faces the plays primary receiver, which not only leaves your offense vulnerable to the skilled defender but hinders your ability to change a play on the fly, especially if you notice a blitz or other defensive set that leaves another receiver open.

Motion

Motion your players on office. This is one of the best things you can do to get defenders confused and unable to spot or understand a play. An average player will able to identify routes and offensive sets if there is little variation, but with motion you can help to give more spice to  that standard post route.

Read the defense.

Easier said than done. Heck, if you were able to do this right every time you’d probably be on a coaching staff for a D-I school instead of playing Madden 07 . Nevertheless it probably makes sense for you to learn how to read the basic defensive sets so that you can change your offensive game plan when necessary.

Press on Defense

Don’t give the QB time to think, send in blitz’s from different parts of the field to confuse your opponent. Use the audible and motion features to plug up those holes when a run is imminent. Shift the line left or right and drop in to blitz when your opponent is thinking pass. Mix it up.
