The world largest Garage sale and so much more.

I have heard it call a on line garage sale over and over  but do people really understand what eBay brings into their homes?
I have for the last little bit heard people whining and complaining about fee hikes.

But I want everyone to read this and put this to rest once you add this up.

Myself and a friend had an old fashion Yard sale this past weekend,
It cost us 21.95 to run it in the paper for 2 days.  It cost us almost 24 hours in man hours to set it up and take it down.  we had to worry about rain, we had to worry about even having to go inside to go potty.  It basically was a hassle . and it cost us money to do it.

Now for a small fee, and eBay fees really are small, in comparison to all I went through his weekend,  But for that small Fee.  I do not have to run a 21.95 add for only 2 days. I do no have to set up and take everything down, and I don't even have to worry about  rain!

And, I  have to say, There has never been one Item I have searched for on eBay that was not on here somewhere,
From Toys to clothes to antiques.  Pictures and even hard to get Items like that silly Tickle me Elmo   ITS all here at the  touch of a button,

From Necklaces, and cookie cutters,  to  those precious Fisher price little people I love so much. Yes. its all here , no Rain,  will stop you from finding what you need.

My guide basically is to put the fee amounts into perspective so that it can be understood simply.

#1 Noting in life is free
#2 Noting is life is free
#3 For the small fees that we do pay to sell our stuff on eBay. we don't have to deal with newspaper adds that cost  a fortune  and we don't have to even Barter with people looking to  buy our items for less.
#4 If we are  buying on here we don't have too drive out a tank of gas to maybe find that one thing we are looking for
#5 Its door to door service, now how can you ever beat that???

So In weighing all the fees verses  the yard sales or even the rummage store  buys . I believe the fees on eBay out weigh the troubles  of doing it all yourself.
In closing I would just ask that the next time you are all frustrated about your fees, that you try like I did TO do it yourself . Have a yard sale pay the 21.95 for a 2 day listing, lug it all outside , then back in,  and then  when your done. eBay will still be here with open arms to have you back   ... For A small fee.
