I wear as many of my shoes as possible so I will be able to give my clients an honest accessment on how a particular style will fit different foot types. I also take days and do Research and Development by visiting as many stores as possible to try on shoes. This helps me decide what brands and styles best fit my target market. Well guess what????? During the Christmas holidays I began to take shoes from a new vendor. The prices were good. They were cute and they could give me what customers had been asking for. I selected a pair of the cutest boots to wear in my store that day. No problem! Of course my feet get lots of attention so I can be my own best advertisement. I wore them all day. No really noticeable problems occured.
Well lo and behold I forgot to take them off before leaving the store. Obviously I was having no foot discomfort. I had last minute Christmas shopping to complete so I and my trusted butler--who also accompanies me to my store--headed for the mall. I had not been there more than 30 minutes before the bones in my toes began to scream for relief. The right foot bunion area of my large toe seemed to need the greatest relief. Being the trooper that I am I pressed on with my shopping. Finally my foot won the contest.
I forgot to mention that my right foot is larger than my left foot. Consequently my left foot was happy and simply going along for the ride. Today, May 1, 2008, my foot has not completely recovered. Different changes have occured in my beloved right foot--I'll spare you the details even though they have been interesting. Now I have noticed that in addition to increased sensitivity on the top of my large right toe, I am beginning to see what I pray isn't the early stages of a bunion.
During the holidays I weighed between 160 and 180 pounds and I share this with you because we so-o-o-o take our feet for granted. Consequently we can cause unintentional permanent damage to body parts that are essential to good, long-lasting health. Protect your feet. Pay attention and react appropriately to foot discomfort and pain. Give your feet the same kind of love, care and attention we give to our hands and fingernails. They will love you back for a lifetime. Shoelady1132 on eBay!!! My store on eBay is "Shoes for luscious, lean and long feet." Please visit my store by clicking on this link
