Attention Vintage Movie Collectors!

eBay is a veritable treasure trove of box-sets of classic DVD's from the glory days of Hollywood and Television!

These inexpensive, remastered vintage oldies but goodies are so great!  You can get 20 movies for under $10!  Or dozens of fabulous episodes of your old favorite TV shows like Bonanza or The Beverly Hillbillies!

My collection is huge...my kids borrow my DVD or VHS collections just to see the oldies.  I love to find these older collections languishing in some sale bin at my local store, waiting for a loving fan to dig through and find them and carefully smooth out the crackled, wrinkled cellophane covers and give a whoop of discovery!

I have found dozens of such collections, and when I can find two, so much the merrier!  I sell the extras off at a reasonable price so that others can enjoy them, as well.

Most of these collections have been out on DVD for several years, but because they obviously don't sell the best (only collectors and crazies like me love them) they get pulled from the shelves and left to languish in the dark for a big blowout sale.  And when I see them, I grab!

Box sets are really a godsend to collectors. 
You can get a large number of vintage movies for the price of one!  I have dozens of box-sets, and I adore having a film fest at my fingertips. You can find the OLDER collector box sets of great VHS movies like Titanic (they come with a collector book) and you can get them in fabulous unopened condition! 

Search eBay for Collector's sets, but be careful of the guys out there who charge $1.00 for a great collection, then zap you $7 for SH.  Luckily, eBay will be limiting these SH prices come October, but even DVD's you get from outside of the USA should not cost $9-12 to ship.   I have purchased from Hong Kong, China, Thailand, and Singapore with SH of under $7.  And always ask if they combine shipping to keep the cost low if you buy more than one set.  I have found vintage movie sellers who charge a "flat" rate of $4.95 to $6.00 PER MOVIE, regardless of how many you buy, so that $2.00 bargain just went up to regular price because you can actually ship a single movie for around $3.00.  Box sets should not cost more than $5.00 to ship unless they have a weight of over a pound.

A lot of these box sets are manufactured overseas and marketed in the USA on eBay.  I picked up my fabulous box set of James Bond movies (12 of them) for under $50 when I ordered it from overseas.  It was on sale for $79.99 on eBay, and for $99.00 at my local movie store. 

You can find these bargains, but make sure you find out if they are legal before buying.  mine was the Asian release that came out earlier than the US release, and it was completely legal.  I don't buy pirated copies. And if I get one instead of a real one, I report the seller to eBay.

So search eBay for collections.  Find some fabulous bargains, and fill out your collections for reasonable amounts of cash.
