First, let me say that I do not sell
MonaVie or any competing products. I am just a believer in healthy
juice drinks. I am also quite sure that drinking MonaVie is good for
you. Certainly better than drinking soda. :-) The problem is, it is
VERY EXPENSIVE and the actual percent of acai berry in it, which is the
most important ingredient for what they are trying to promote, is not
as high as you would think and there are less expensive options where
you can get pure acai berry juice for less money.
Pure acai berry juice is not necessarily that tasty, it has its own unique flavor, but is not as sweet as grape juice, for example. So many manufacturers will add grape juice as a sweetner. However when they add to much and it tastes too much like grape juice, you wind up paying nearly $30 or a bottle of grape juice which is insane.
When the bottle lists the ingredients as a PROPRIETARY BLEND, that means they do not want to tell you what the % of acai berry is.
There are a few companies out there making drinks that are actually 100% acai berry. I drink one of them every night and I love the taste of it. When I drink my 1 oz, I am getting 1 oz of actual acai berry, not a fraction of an ounce. The brand I buy is: Dynamic Health Acai Gold, which is 100% Pure Organic Certified Acai Juice and it comes in a 32 ounce bottle. The nice thing about this brand it is certified acai berry juice and it is organic, which means it is grown without pesticides or artificial chemicals. This sells for under $30 per bottle.
There are other brands out there also which also advertise that they are 100% acai berry juice and I am sure they are also very good.
The point is, if you are buying a juice drink for $30 a bottle and it is only 25% acai berry, you are paying $30 for $7.50 worth of juice. If I am going to plunk down $30 for a bottle, I would like to be getting $30 worth of acai berry. I can buy the BEST grape juice in the supermarket that is 100% pure grape juice for $4 or $5 a half gallon. :-) ........and grape juice IS one juice that I drink almost every day.
Since I have been drinking the acai berry, I have more energy and don't feel as tired, so the claims do seem true about the health benefits.
Drinking juice can be very healthy. You may even want to get your OWN juice machine, as I have, in order to be able to make up your own juice, where the fruit is locally available. Some fruits, like the acai berry, just are not available locally, so buying juice in a bottle is the next best thing.
The acai berry juice is just one of several juices that I drink every day. Just don't pay more than you need to and since drinking pure juice can be expensive, just make sure that you are really getting the MOST you can for your money.

MonaVie is a fruit drink made from acai berry and 18 other fruits, all of which are good for you. The star of their blended drink is the expensive acai berry and the reason people buy it. But what a lot of people do not know is that there is only around 20% to 25% acai berry in each bottle.
Many of Monavie's competitor acai berry products in the market ALSO have a very low percentage of acai in them. Some EVEN LOWER. The acai plant is very expensive, so if you're paying $30 a bottle for an acai drink, read the label to ensure that it actually has significant amounts of the acai berry fruit in it.Pure acai berry juice is not necessarily that tasty, it has its own unique flavor, but is not as sweet as grape juice, for example.
