Just a thought on the new revolution of buying paintings... Minuature is back! Here is my 2 cent update on the art trend...

Small art is appreciated in so many more ways today. From ART PENDANTS to portable small paintings for the wallet, to the addictive PAINTING A DAY collecting trend, and ACEO One of a Kinds- you still should be wise in your choices.

You can acquire great paintings for nearly not what they are worth from sellers on Ebay and other auction sites. I recommend this for anyone. It is a great way to brighten up your home in any corner including the bathroom! Yes... because of this idea I began to make resin art for the washroom. Great success! Who would have known people would want art in their washroom so badly? The Romans did it, and so we are now spending more time pampering ourselves and so this bathroom environment must be visually stimulating. Why not as a GIFT? For tose who have everything...this is a perfect gift for $100 and sometimes less! Art appreciates in value...does an iphone or mp3 player? NO!

This miniature art craze is fantastic since instead of investing into one bigger artwork, you can buy several and the next thing you know you have hundreds of valuable painting a day paintings from every artist on Ebay. It is satisfying winning and buying small art. I have bought a few myself and though I paint on a daily basis myself, I am hooked on buying other artist's artwork as well.

What size is miniature considered? this can be debated... but past 6" it is not miniature anymore. Then after this size it is small art up to 14". Then well medium, large and so on. Some artists on ebay describe their paintings as HUGE painting and it's only 24". Huge my friends is something like 8 feet by 12 feet.

FOOD ART  is taking a leap and is no longer just for the kitchen. Retro vintage modernized mixed media art is more accepted than ever and people prefer it to simple canvas prints. For nearly the same amount of money folks, you are getting and ORIGINAL artwork. Most times with Certificates of Authenticity.

Small landscapes are hot! Artists wuld cringe at landscape art in school. It was too crafty for the contemporary painter. Not anymore! Heck I back at doing landscape art myself! Look for rich colorful or atmospheric landscapes. I love clouds and always try to put clouds in mine.

Anyone thought of buying paintings with furniture in them? CHAIR paintings are hot!
Reflective art, marble paintings, shiny bows, chilli peppers, and yep even strawberries are hot. Look for Christmas art and Easter art during those times of the year and you will be surprised to find tiny ornament and twinkly paintings selling like crazy. How about easter eggs?
