MINERAL MAKEUP IS VERY DIFFERENT THAN TRADITIONAL MAKEUP AND AS SUCH, NEEDS TO BE APPLIED USING A DIFFERENT KIND OF TECHNIQUE.

 

 

PREPARING FOR APPLICATION

To start, you may want to start off with a freshly cleansed and toned face, (some people prefer to use our Pore Reducing Toner in place of their regular toner.) following up with your favorite Moisturizer. Our new Organic Silk Primer is a very HOT product right now as it is very good for rejuvenating your complexion like a daily supplement. It has combined hydrolyzed silk and rich organic essential oils to help prepare your skin for a flawless makeup application. If you have trouble wearing moisturizers or have troubled skin, we definitely recommend our "Organic Acne Skin Care System" designed specifically for people with Sensitive or Acenic Skin, but it is gentle enough for any skin type. Both our Pore Reducing Toner and our Daily Mosturizer contains DMAE  an amazing nutrient that extends the life of cells and inhibits the cross linking of proteins giving the skin a tone, firm youthful appearance and MSM which is especially helpful at soothing and calming irritated and inflamed skin.

  

Please know that when using Mineral Makeup, it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to wait until after your moisturizer has been completely absorbed into your skin before applying your Mineral Makeup. About 10 minutes should be sufficient.

MINERAL BRUSHES

Next you want to make sure to use good quality Mineral Makeup Brushes that are specifically designed to use with Mineral Makeup for your best application results.

One Main thing to remember when your first learning to apply our Mineral Makeup is that a very small amount will go a long way. The Key is to start by using a small amount of minerals and apply in very sheer layers until you have reached your desired coverage. It is much easier to add layers than it is to take them off.

TAP, TWIRL, TAP AND BRUSH TECHNIQUE INSTRUCTIONS (TTT&B)

1. Tap a small amount of Tru Minerals into the lid. Twirl with the Flawless Face Brush (for lighter coverage) or a Plush Kabuki Brush (for more coverage) until the Minerals are tucked into the bristles.

2. Tap the bottom of the handle with the brush head facing upward on the side of the lid or foundation container to tap off any excess Minerals. There should be no visible product on the outside of the brush.

3. Brush onto skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the inside of your face near your the side of your nose. Then gently but firmly buff around the remainder of your face, working your way to the cheeks to the hairline and down your neckline then finish up with your forehead and nose areas. TTT&B until you're satisfied with the coverage. Remember, just a tiny amount goes a long way. You can always increase coverage by adding additional layers.

 BASIC MINERAL MAKEUP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

CONCEALER

1. Start by using your choice of Concealer and a good Concealer Brush. "Tap,Twirl, Tap & Brush" (TTT&B) with the technique described above. Gently apply Concealer to problem areas of the face to correct any skin imperfections. You can just touch some on to each troubled spot and then go back and gently blend it in with your brush afterwards. (If after applying your Foundation you still feel that you need a little bit more concealing just simply go over the top one more time with your concealer again in the same fashion as before then apply your Blush, Face Color and Setting Mineral Veil over the top.)

FOUNDATION

2. Now using your choice of Foundation colors and a Flawless Face Brush or a Plush Kabuki Brush (for even increased coverage), again using the TTT&B method, apply your Foundation starting at the inside of your face working outwards to the hairline and neckline blending out and down.

BLUSHES OR BRONZERS

3. Now using a Flawless Face Brush, Blush Brush or Baby Kabuki Brush, TTT&B just a tiny amount of Blush and or Bronzer applying lightly to areas where the sun would normally hit your face. Giving you a healthy sun kissed glow. (apply to chin, nose, cheekbone and forehead areas)

EYE SHADOWS

4. Next, using an Angled Eye Blender or Eye Shadow Brush simply TTT&B a small amount of Mineral Eye Shadow in a light shade for adding highlights to the contours of the eye and also to the upper eye lid area, then using another Eye Shadow Brush also apply a darker shade to the center crease area of the eye from the center working to the outside of the eye for a shaded smokey eye look.

EYE LINER

5. Now using a Thin Eye Liner Brush, Precision Liner Brush or Sponge Tip Applicator TTT&B a small amount of Mineral Eye Liner such as our Dark Soul or Soft Brown and apply either dry or with a little bit of water to the upper and lower eye lids, again working from the center of the eye to the outside corner for a smokey eye finish.

MINERAL SETTING VEIL

6. Using either the Flawless Face Brush or the Plush Kabuki Brush (again depending on desired coverage) apply Tru Minerals Setting Mineral Veil as a finishing powder. This will cut down on shine, help to hide pores and fine lines giving you a flawless finish.
