This was our first purchased set of brand new china and has served us well since 1976. We continue to add to the set. ebay has provided an excellent forum to find completion and replacement items.
All items appear over time. Be patient unless you desperately need a piece now. The prices have come down over the past few years as more sellers discover ebay and buyers have learned to wait for deals. Replacements, Inc has virtually all of the set all of the time but their prices are substantially higher than ebay prices.
Like all fine china, these should be washed by hand, not in an automatic dishwasher. The chemicals in dishwasher soap are much harsher, and, invisible hairline cracks and fractures can be ascerbated by the very high temperatures.
Use your china. The more your children see it on the table, the more they will develop a bond with it. As they see you handling it properly, this will give you the opportunity to teach them the care for quality possessions like fine china. That's a lesson all of us can use periodically.
Please drop me a line if you have any questions or suggestions.
I am not a dealer and I do not sell.
