I just got off the phone with the MJ boutique in SAN FRANCISCO, I have new info; prior to 2007 their were plaques in some of the bags.  Also, I bought my from MJ inside Neiman Marcus, I just called them too and had them look at every 2007 MJ bag,no plaques found anywhere. So I called MJ boutique in SF again and spoke to the manager and told them this information, he told me Marc changes the bags every year. The only way to make sure it is real is to go to one of his boutiques because he does make slight changes each year.

To ashin121: Your bag looks real. It looks just like mine which I bought at Las Vegas Neiman Marcus Marc Jacobs. Don't worry about it right before an exam...not worth it! Your test is more important.

Hi Everyone; boy am I exhausted! I have been having to defend myself about my Stam! It's so crazy because I bought it from Neiman, as I wrote about above. Ok so here is the buyer's issue; she thinks because the leather is grained and the interior is tan canvas that it is a fake. I bought this from Jessica Duke at Neiman Marcus and have all the proof you could want. I have even involved the store manager. So the point is; yes the bags do in fact change each year. The leather, the logo inside and the interior. Some logos are on plaques and some are stamped inside. It depends on the year you buy it. So if you want to be sure...take it to a MJ boutique or Neiman or Saks....or buy it there just to be sure. I am so upset by about my word being challenged, basically I am being called a liar!! I paid a fortune for it....I may not sell any other designer items again on ebay.

So if you aren't sure...don't buy it. It's not fair to people like me who are very honest.
