The magic jack generates its own phone number based on the area code you choose, mostly major cities. For example Daytona Beach is 386, Miami is 305, Los Angeles 323. Simply plug the magic jack into your USB and connect your phone to it. Give it a few minutes, it will run by itself. On some computers particularly Apple Mac, you have to double click on the magic jack application icon when it comes up in order for it to run. It will ask you to choose a location with the 3 digits area code. Below is a list of the most current area codes available. It took me a while to create it in this format for eBay, but I think it'll be beneficial to those who may have the same question. As more area codes become available, I'll update the list.
