In a nut shell: Don't waste your money.

-Glad I purchased it from a major department store  because it was easily returned after trying it, and finding that it didn't work well.

In my opinion, this blender didn't work well, or like the infomercial. (I am a gourmet cook and know how to use appliances very well)

Irregularly chopped soft foods...some pieces left whole unchopped while pieces closer to the blade turned to mush -even after "tapping' the mixer cup as recommended. Ice not smoothly pureed in smoothie drinks.

Motor stopped working several times due to overheating when making chicken salad -even after pulsing only 5 seconds per time, then you have to wait for it to work again because it has an automatic overheat overide that stops blender from working.

Many other complaints I viewed, when doing the research:  included broken parts after minimal useage, and  very, very poor /unwilling customer service response > if not purchased directly from the infomercial, and shipping costs of replacement parts was so expensive, it was not worth the repair.

(To see hundreds of complaints, Google: Magic Bullet Blender opinion, or Magic Bullet reviews)

Many complaints on Google website reviews state that copycat imitations are being sold and the official Magic Bullet company will not honor those appliances for service or repair. It is also reported that service was impossible to get (even under warranty- on a genuine unit) unless you ordered it directly from the infomercial company.

Other complaints Googled, stated that many companies or individuals selling this item even on EBay or Amazon were knockoff's from other countries. Some things to look out for: Box doesn't have UPC code on the side, No Instruction booklet or instruction booklet doesn't have the name of the manufacturer: Homeland Housewares.

Also,  Beware of similar but not exact names. These are knockoff's.

Last, if you MUST, try this appliance, buy it from a large, reputable LOCAL retailer with your VISA or MASTER CARD so if you find it doesn't work, or breaks soon, you can DRIVE to return it (and not have to pay postage costs back to the company you bought it from)!!! - AND- you'll have your credit card company TO BACK YOU UP, if the retailer won't refund your money if you're unhappy.

Remember you can always dispute a charge/make a complaint to your credit card company with items you buy with a credit card - that don't work as expected or break soon, BUT pay by check or cash and once they have your money, your out of luck for any type of resolution or recourse!

This item works best as a tiny blender for drinks/shakes, for people who don't have big expectations, and don't care if the ice in a blended drink is perfectly smooth. If that's all you'll do with it, you will really like it.

Thanks so much  & please rate this guide HELPFUL > if you liked this guide. It will  help others :)
