This is the next to the high end of this speaker line (the highest are too large and cumbersome). The LogiTech X230 can be used for amplifying any PC system that require it's own power. The speakers are tilted back for convenient listening and the subwoofer is approximately 9 to 10" H & W. For everyday PC applications, this is an inexpensive alternative to the expensive audiophile computer speakers. However, the  X230 are not for everyone. The mesh on the speakers are flimsy and break apart easily if not handled with care. This system was not designed to listen to music or CDs on your home PC. At mid-range to high volume levels, the sound distorts badly. Also the cord to the subwoofer that connects to the PC is too short and should be in close range to the right speaker to avoid it from falling off the PC table.

This system is strictly for everyday PC applications only. If you are looking for a system for music playback, this is not for you..
