Ideal started making Revlon dolls in 1956.She has a "grown -up" womans body. She has very sophisticated high fashion clothing, high heel shoes, pierced ears, and even furs & jewels. She came in 10 1/2", 15", 18", 20", 22", 23" & 26" sizes. Revlon dolls were always marked IDEAL followed by V standing for vinyl and her size ( 22 would be marked vt-22) This is very important to know because these dolls were so popular there were many high fashion competitors on the market. Some by just looking at them are hard to tell apart. The 10 1/2" is called Little Miss Revlon all the other sizes are called Miss Revlon.Ideal bought the Revlon license to use the name Revlon from the cosmetics. Some of her clothes were named after Revlon lip-sticks.Some of her outfits can cost more than the dolls themselves. Before you bid on any doll make sure you know everything that is important to you,for a good example Relvon & any dolls that wore earrings when the earrings got old some of them turned green and when left in the dolls there earlobe would have green stains on them. They call this Green Ear.I bought a doll with this and I tried everything even Remove Zit and the green is still on her ears.So ask questions, does she have any missing hair plugs? How is her finger & toe nail polish? Don't assume the seller will list all thats wrong because most of them truly don't even see anything wrong & have never sold a doll like this.See you on EBay!
