Little Giant Ladders & TV's Little Giant Ladder System
The remarkable Little Giant Ladder System was first innovated in Germany more than three decades ago. A young entrepreneur named Hal Wing learned of this system and realized that he could find a major market for a versatile multipurpose ladder in the United States. Self-financing, Hal Wing grew his business into a nationwide industry standard. Today's Wing Enterprises manufactures some of the industry's most respected ladders and competes with a well staffed, highly educated R&D department.
What makes the Little Giant Ladder so successful? Primarily, it is constructed of 6005-T5 aluminum that's tempered and engineered to withstand extreme forces. The standard Little Giant Ladder model has been weighted and tested to withstand 300 pounds. That said, independent R&D testing has demonstrated that this system can support as much as four times that weight without compromising or buckling.
One of the most popular Little Giant ladders, the Model 22, is a slight 42 pounds in weight. Home users, industrial construction contractors, and major corporations all employ the Little Giant Model 22 for jobs on docks, stairs, and uneven architectural surfaces. This ladder was designed to be an all-in-one composite that takes the place of scaffolding trestles, frame ladders, staircase ladders, and 90-degree units.
Wing Enterprises also produces a more heavy-duty unit called the Type 1AA. In addition, you can find a fiberglass version of the Little Giant called the Ultra Step. This is ideal for construction jobs on unleveled surfaces. Well suited to both home improvement and business uses, all Little Giant Ladders are compact for easy storage.
