Lisa Tucker - 2006 American Idol's Lisa Tucker

Tonight American Idol announced their 2006 finalists - 12 men and 12 women. Among the women selected was sixteen-year old Lisa Tucker from Anaheim, California. Lisa Tucker has a tremendous voice and used to appear in the Lion King stageshow. She blew Randy, Paula and Simon away in early auditions - but Simon suggested that she was too young (16) for such a large scale competition. It seemed like Simon was right when Lisa Tucker struggled in the final Hollywood audition sessions... but tonight, the judges gave Lisa Tucker the golden ticket and she is now a finalist! Watch for Lisa to be a big player in this competition has she has the looks, the voice, the personality and the range!

Fox posted their Lisa Tucker factoids - the night before the first week of voting begins (Tuesday is the women's competition, Wednesday is the men's, and Thursday is the voting). Below are the Lisa Tucker facts from Fox:

February 28th Update for Lisa Tucker

Another strong performance for Lisa Tucker who will sail into the finals. I didn't love her song choice ("Who's Loving You") as it was rather ordinary and too mature. But Lisa has a powerful voice and an ease on the stage. I believe Lisa is one of the top three or four contestants (Paris, Madisa and Katharine being the others).
