Let me make this short and simple.

If you are thinking of bidding some Computer memories at this site. BEWARE !!!

I have bid alot from different seller (bid and won 12 auction) and lost alot of money.

I want to share with Memory buyer some experience bidding on this site

I will explain what these sentence means:

1) Nice lot of 256mb working tested memories. = U will get mostly 256mb EDO chip.

2) Nice lot of 512mb working tested memories = U get mostly 512mb EDO (believe me its EDO chip on a SDRAM PCB)

3) 1gb Hynix DDR = ( Although they are salvage condition I did not expect them to be so dead, they cannot be used as spare parts. I sent to a specialist, they tested every chip and all is dead. They told me those might be dummy. cause no matter how dead a normal memory is, its never all IC died together uniformly and for every pieces.) They are so New even the connector do not have any used markings). If u examined closer, the laser printing on the chips are a little different and some chips are darker in colour).

4) 1gb Samsung DDR = same as above.

5) Nice lot of mixed freshly pulled memories = mostly EDOs and printer cache pulled. (some weird looking EDO for souvenir)

6) 512mb freshly fulled memories from upgraded system =  Turn out its 64mb chip number with a 512mb sticker.

7) 1 gb DDR laptop ram = Deal cancelled. I think maybe price too low..  (takes a while to get money back)

Well if u think the dispute department will take care and refund u money. THINK AGAIN. They are very very busy people.

Well good luck on your next bidding. For me its over...

Update Nov 6 2007
Last thing: If u think u can try on your luck for those 512mb and 1gb samsung/ hynix that have nice looking Photos that looks "new" . Well they are new but they are fake (99% of the time). I leave 1% for the benefit of the doubt. These rams are not going to work. not even for removing IC for parts. And the thing is you cant complain cause they are listed as "salvage" so no return. Even the dispute dept will throw your case out. And there is no feedback or comments for you to add. So many many people will get burned from all these deal. ANd they all get burned in silence.
