Both Lip Ink® and lipsticks stain lips with color to beautify and make your lips look fuller, plumper and shinier. But both differ in more than a few ways in terms of application, effect and lasting power.

This guide is to help you with the application process of Lip Ink® color and to show you how it is different and better than the traditional way of applying lipstick

With lipstick the steps would include:

  • First rub some petroleum jelly/moisturizer onto your lips to lock in moisture and remove traces of make-up.
  • Line your lips with a lip liner, not darker than your lipstick.
  • Fill in color with lipstick, moving center to outer corners.
  • Blot excess lipstick after application and repeat 2-3 times for maximum staying power.
  • Re-apply after meals, smoking, drinking and as needed.

Simple enough isn't it But bear this in mind, your lipstick will need touch-ups every time you do so much as munch a nut. Also, lipstick tends to bleed, crack, eaten and gives an unkempt look which is worse than no make-up at all.

Lip Ink® offers a better, natural and more efficient solution to all your make-up needs. For starters, it has 90% natural ingredients, no preservatives, no artificial color pigments and is guaranteed smear-proof and the only patented wax free product in the United States.

Lets take a look at the application process of this new innovative Lip Ink® color:

  • First you use the Off solution(Lip Ink's® Remover solution) to cleanse your lips of all foreighn matter as it might affect performance of the Lip Ink® color.
  • Splash your lips with a little water and pat dry.
  • Apply Lip Ink® Shine Moisturizer on your lips to buff them.
  • If  liner is desired, shake the vial of color thoroughly and using the brush provides, frame your lips with the color.
  • Dip lip brush into vial and wipe away all excess color and then slowly move the brush over your lips in one direction letting them absorb the color. Do not blot.
  • Wait a few seconds until dry and apply three coats.
  • Finish off with Shine Moisturizer for extra shine or now blot with a tissue for a matte effect.

Yes, the process does sound complicated but it frees you of any touch-ups and any re-application. It does not leave you without any lip color as it does not wipe or rub off.

Most of the steps mentioned in both lipstick and Lip Ink® color application are quite similar. Their effects to the lips differ drastically.
