After typing in Linux in the search box I was so disturbed I had to write this review.

For anyone interested in Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu etc DO NOT bid on any CDs on Ebay. Ubuntu is available free from the makers of the OS, Caniocal Inc. https://shipit.ubuntu.com/myrequest use this link, they do not even charge for shipping, feel free to ask for as many CDs as you like. Ubuntu is a free OS and it's makers are committed to promoting it for FREE.

Additionally many other Linux operating systems like Mandriva, SUSE, and Mepis are also available for free or have free versions available. The website Distrowatch http://distrowatch.com/ keeps track of Linux distributions for you. If downloading an iso file and burning it to a balnk cd rom or dvd is beyond your capability then distrowatch has links to outfits that will ship you pre made distros of your choice already on CD. They do this for what some of the sellers here are asking for shipping alone.

The bottom line is Linux should not cost you money the Linux community is committed to bringing you stable and quality operating systems at little cost. Ubuntu is by far the most popular linux distribution out there. It is simple to install and maintain. Installing additional software is extremely easy and it takes seconds to get programs working. Linux is in many ways superior to Windows and Mac operating systems. It runs faster with less bloat, and there are no viruses or spyware to contend with. Spend your time surfing the web and getting work done instead of removing viruses and spyware.
