Linda Howard is my all time favorite author. These are my top 10 of her books

10. COME LIE WITH ME~  disabled he has given up the will to live, she is his new physical therapist who not only gives him a reason to live but hopes of walking again. Classic Romance but is one of her very best early titles.

9.   OVERLOAD ~ SHORT STORY~ the elevator comes to a halt and former lovers are "stuck" in the blazing heat and the story is as HOT as the characters.

8.  HEARTBREAKER~  she is blackmailed into become his WILLING mistress but he finds earning her TRUST is another matter. SHE has some secrets of her own and he not only has to find out what but keep her safe~

7.  NOW YOU SEE HER~ paranormal ~ gifted artist is "painting' scenes of murders in her sleep and has sudden "spells of bone chilling cold" as part of her paranoramal experience~ the Hero decides to become her "blanket" ~ and warm her up in more than one way while a killer is going to keep her from "painting his face".

6.  OPEN SEASON~  this one drags the first few chapters but ends up a class hit with me~ local old maid librarian get a "new Grace Kelly make over" and has all the local men interested~ now she is getting some where ~ along the way she attracts the local Yankee lawman who will not leave her alone but she becomes witnesses a murder and the LONG arm of the law is handy~ LOL

5.  TO DIE FOR & DROP DEAD GORGEOUS~  former Cheerleader and gorgous blonde HIGH MAINTENANCE BLAIR decides to punish the local detective from dumping her~ at the same time he is trying to solve a murder~ Blair has us laughing out loud at her "illogical logic". READ them in this order~ both funny and sexy fun.

4.  BLUEBIRD WINTER~ SHORT STORY~  she is pregnant and due any minute and along comes sexy HOT doctor who falls for her immediately~ in the blizzard this doctor "delivers" a baby and the hope of new love.  one of her BEST~

3. THE MACKENZIE SERIES~ oh do not hate me for putting them third~ please~ a series based on the MacKenzie Family~ outstanding all of them but my top two favorites are MACKENZIE'S MOUNTAIN~  the new school teacher making some big changes in her little town~ along the way we meet mega hero WOLF MacKenzie~ and the romance begins~ excellent~ read this one first~ MacKenzie's Mission~  the son a hot shot JET JOCKY Joe MacKenzie takes on the brilliant FEMALE~ laser expert in the new stealthy planes he gets to test out~  all the MacKenzie stories are excellent but these are my two personal favorites of the series and but I highly recommend them all~

2. TIE FOR SECOND PLACE~

AFTER THE NIGHT~ one of her most sexy heros~ YEARS ago she left town in discrace and now she is back to a VERY unwelcome reception and HE will do about anything to get have her gone~ but his attraction has him soon in HOT pursuit of her and a KILLER~  GREAT story good mystery~

CRY NO MORE~  one of her most moving books and one guaranteed to make you cry. HER SON WAS STOLEN OUT OF HER ARMS and she spends years searching for him and other stolen babies. EXCELLENT STORY unexpected hero and heroine romance and very good over all mystery~

1.  MR. PERFECT~ the"apparent"  DRUNK next door is not only rude, loud and OPPS a COP~ can her life get any worse? yes it can~   A GROUP of women get together every Friday for girl talk a good meal and decided they would like to "make up the PERFECT MAN" and make a list of what they want~ the list gets out of control and in the paper, PRIME TIME NEWS and internet~ soon the four have every reporter looking for interviews~ the LIST is hysterical from sex to sexy we enjoy it and laugh out loud at these four women~ who  become the TARGET of a psychos revenge~ now RUDE Cop next door SAM get to not only keep her 'safe' but show her how good he is with his weapon~ LOL~

why is this book #1 ~ I have loaned my copy to about a dozen people and everyone love it ~ even people who did not like romance books~  I also find it her funniest book and best mystery to date~

I love Linda Howard and she writes romance, romantic suspense, historical and paranormal romance. I highly recommend her~
