There are 3 types of Alcohol stoves, a simple

1 open Stove, filled with batting and a Screen, such as I used in the Forest service for years.

They look like the simple alcohol Cooker that "surferchef" (don1919)sells on Ebay

2 the Trangia, and Pepsi Stoves, like the Mini Bull Designs type like "Pinboy50" sells, and others on Ebay.

3 the Presure stove Like "Maxxron" and kenny

"Piboy50" and others sell.

type number 1 is the Easiest to lite

simply pour enough fuel to satuarate the Batting, or up to half way up on an open Stove

without batting, then lite.

it will soon blossom out in a flame the lowest heat stove of the 3 types.

to start the type2 trangia Pepsi type, fill up

only Half way or less, and lite the alcohol, and in a few seconds it becomes a nice blue flame.

ready to cook.

for type 3 the "hike n lite", and "Maxxron" type fill half way up, and then seal.

with the Hike N lite type put on the Top, and put on the security clips.

for the Maxxron type fill only up to Half way or Less, and Put in the center screw in securely..

Now take a couple of Teaspoons of alcohol, and

pour along the top, this will dribble to the little

pan the Stove sits on lite and wait, it will soon blossom to a nice white flame, the hottest of the 3 alcohol stove types.

Never add fuel to a hot stove.

Use the best form of alcohol available to you.

Denatured Alcohol, Gas line deicer type

(Methyl alcohol) found in a product called heat.

a high grade of booze like 151 rum. or rubbing Alcohol.

Most of these stoves will cook a good camp Meal for 1 or 2 with 2 Ounces of alcohol or less.
