From time to time, we have been asked questions about the LightWedge product.  We would like to share information we have learned since first offering this product.  We hope you find this information helpful.

The LightWedge is made of the same optical grade acrylic as a pair of glasses.  The page-sized, acrylic lens lays flat on the page, and directs cool LED light onto the page, not the room or into your eyes.

The newer versions of the LightWedge have an improved, one-touch switch design with simply the brightest level of light.

If you don't think the light from your LightWedge is bright enough, check the battery direction.  All four batteries should be running in the same direction.  The LightWedge should light if one of the four batteries is set in the wrong direction, but the light will be dim.  Four new AAA batteries placed correctly should provide plenty of brightness for nighttime reading in a dark room.

The LightWedge Original, Paperback, and Night Vision each use four AAA batteries that should provide up to forty hours of light.  The LightWedge Mini uses two CR2016 batteries that should provide up to twenty hours of light.

Light scratches are inevitable and should not affect your LightWedge's usability.  Take care of your LightWedge as you would any other quality optical equipment, such as eyeglasses.  LightWedge recommends that you remove any large particles first and then lightly buff the lens with a soft, micro-fiber cloth and lens cleaner, such as the LightWedge Lens Care Kit, when it appears dirty.

The optimal way to store your LightWedge and protect the lens from scratches and dirt is in the LightWedge Soft Case.  The Soft Case is made from padded rubber and lined with a micro-fiber polishing cloth.  The LightWedge can also safely be stored as a bookmark in the book that you are reading.
