I've owned the X125 for a few years now and it has held up surprisingly well except for one thing. The Lexmark brand ink cartridges dry out very fast, usually before all the ink has been dispenesed. I've had to replace them in less than 2 weeks time even though the thing had very light usage. I took my cartridges to Cartridge World to have them refilled and save some money over Lexmark's price's. Several of their employees advised me that Lexmark adds a substance to their ink that causes it to dry up on the feed at a substantially accelerated rate. Once the ink dries up on the part of the cartridge that feeds the printer, then the printer becomes unusable causing you go out and buy another cartridge. So I just switched to generic cartridges and that solved the problem. I've started using the Nu-Kote brand that the Super-Walmarts sell and all of them have lasted quite a while with medium and heavy usage. Haven't tried the one's on Ebay, but I'm sure they will do a better job than the OEM's. If your looking for a reliable all-in-one printer that will hold up over time then this is the one, just be sure to use generic ink cartridges. UPDATE: I recently upgraded to Windows Vista. This printer is NOT compatible with Vista. Lexmark refuses to release any updated drivers, so if you're running Vista then I would not get this printer.
