Let's Stream That Music Through Your Home Stereo System !!
Written By: Jeff H. Reynolds
Nowadays, more than just a few are taking advantage of the new offerings from iTunes, Yahoo, XM, Sirus, Rhapsody, and other firms... and streaming music on a regular basis.
For $5.00 a month with Yahoo, you get access to their vast music library of more than a million songs and albums... and you get access to the latest stuff. You can play albums from the artists you like... you can build your own radio station... you can also create lists of songs and artists to listen to. It's amazing. It's just wonderful stuff.
But, this also brings up a problem. What good does it do to play that wonderful music through those tiny little speakers that came with your computer... :( .
The solution is simple and it doesn't cost you much of anything. That is, it's easy to hook that computer up to your home stereo system. It takes no more than a patch cord that can be bought at most any Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio Shack or even Walmart. (Cost runs anywhere from $5 to $30 depending on brand and retailer.) The patch cord needs to have a 1/8 inch stereo plug at one end... and two RCA style plugs at the other end. It's just a matter of connecting the patch cord to the computer and stereo and you're up and running.
Once you connect the stereo system to your computer with the patch cord... you can start streaming that music you love. This is the cheapest way to maximize the internet and the offerings from the music companies.
