LenDale White - USC RB - LenDale White
LenDale White is a superior running back who played for the USC Trojans before being drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2006. White was coached and mentored by several influential figures, including Pete Carroll and Chauncey Billups. Thanks to his work on the USC backfield, he earned a number of top honors, including 2005 All America.
He also displayed a clever, dark sense of humor with the Trojans. In 2005, he teamed up with coach Carroll and Spike Lee to freak out his teammates with a very involved prank. Unfortunately for White, prior to the 2006 NFL combines, he tore his hamstring, and he was not able to perform all the usual combine activities (e.g., standing jump, 40 yard dash, etc.), and didn't make it into the first round of the 2006 draft.
That being said, he did get drafted in the second round as the 45th pick for Tennessee. He is known for his explosive speed, on-the-field intuition, and an ability to terrify defenders.
White earned great stats with USC, racking up 1,850 plus yards, making 31 touchdowns in just his sophomore year, and winning honors like the Maxwell Award and the Doak Walker Award. He recovered from a left ankle injury and focused hard in school to finish his USC degree. During 2004 and 2005, White was one of the most feared football running backs in the Pac 10. If he lives up to his potential as a running back, footmall memorabilia collections will likely include White's autograph or jersey in years to come.
