Here are some good ones. If you have some others or info start adding.  I know this is a classic but not everyone has these tips on hand :

Forest Maze
When you get to the part of forest where you get trapt go north, west, south, west. This will take you to the mountain by the graveyard.

Level -2 Sword
Beat L-3. Then go to the top of the waterfall to find an old man with the mastersword. This sword kills enimies with one less hit.

Level -3 Sword
Beat L-6 then go to the top right corner of the graveyard and then push the third tomestone in the second row to find a staircase. Enter to find a man with the LENGENDARY SWORD. This sword will take 2less hits than the first sword and 1 less hit than your second sword.
