Leather Care Tips and Instructions Guide:

  • I'm constantly asked by my customers how to keep the custom leather cuffs, cuff watches, belts and leather bracelets that I make and sell in top form after repeated wear. In this guide i will detail what I feel is the best way to keep them clean, supple and with a nice sheen to highlight the quality and detail in which they are made!

Things you'll need:

  • Cotton cloth or old sock, t-shirt etc...
  • Water
  • Leather conditioner

Instructions for using leather conditioner

First go to your sock drawer and pull out a couple cotton socks that have no match ( we all have a few!) Don't use one that is hard or abrasive . If it is abrasive go to your local pharmacy and buy some foot cream ( maybe another guide!) Turn the sock inside out to reveal the softer fabric inside. Just like waxing your car you're going to want to first remove the dirt from the leather. Dampen a portion of your sock or cloth with room temperature water and gently clean the surface of your leather cuff. Allow the cuff or bracelet to dry and use a dry portion of your cloth or sock to apply a leather conditioner to the product. Rub the cream or lotion in circular motions completely around the top side of the cuff or cuffwatch and allow to dry again. In the final step choose another dry area of the sock or cloth and briskly rub the dried lotion in circular motions to reveal a nice sheen.

Your leather cuffs and bracelets are now clean, moisturized and shiny and will last longer for your attention to this process.

This process should not be used on suede and nubuck leathers. Only leather with a smooth finish can be treated with condtioners.

Where to find leather conditioner?

Leather conditioner can be found at most large pharmacy chains in the shoecare section. Shoe stores in malls also carry conditioners. I like to use conditioner that has a touch of silicon in it as it helps keep the top a little shiny.

I hope this Guide has helped!!!
