Laurell began writing comics of her Anita Blake character under the name Stacie M. Richie for Marvel Comics in May of 2007. Not only are there comics a plenty now but Marvel is also doing T-shirts for each of the comic covers. I'm not going to list the comics. If successful, there will be many, many of them. Marvel has been going back to at least a second printing on each comic. When you're hot, you're hot!
I love Hamilton's books, so if you're looking for something to read in between her books you might want to check out this new author, Kim Harrison. Her first book (Dead Witch Walking) got fantastic reviews as well as the other books in her series. I'll be doing a guide for her series. Two other authors you may like that I also like are Karen E. Taylor with her Vampire Legacy series and the extremely hard to find Trisha Baker's Crimson Trilogy (Vampire also). I'll be doing guides for their Vampire series also, so check those out. They are both excellent and I highly recommend them! Taylor's you can find probably here on eBay or at a used book store. Baker's, well good luck!! You'll end up paying top dollar for each book. Whenever I find them and put them up here for sale, they never sell for less than $50 each and that's for a paperback! They are extremely hard to find.
Tonight (06/30/06) I had the pleasure of having Laurell sign my copy of Danse Macabre at Books & Co. in Dayton, Ohio. Every single copy of my Anita Blake books are signed now! First time I went to a book signing of hers at Books & Co., she was surprised to see that I had the old Ace copies of her Anita books! I even purchased the newer copies back then to reread and also purchased the protective thingies to put my Ace copies in to protect them from light and damage. Geez, am I a devoted fan or what? LOL
