I have bought 6 laptops on Ebay and have researched many more. Plain and simple facts for those who do not play fancy games that need resources maxed out are as follows.
1. Processor speed is not as important as it is trumped up to be.
2. Want a laptop that will enable growth - Make sure it says USB 2.0. If not it is usually USB1.1 and it will not operate external drives and jump drives or other add-ons very well. DVD writers will not function well for sure.
3. Look for feedback ratings and check the feedback others have left for the Seller.
4. Look for Paypal - I do not buy anything that cannot be purchase through Paypal
5. Make sure the laptop is Guaranteed not DOA - Dead on Arrival. Some sellers forget to list this, so ask them a question about it.
6. If you do not have a Paypal account - get one.
7. Enjoy yourself
8. Be careful about sending negative feedback, it usually backfires and you get the same.
