First off let me say that alot of the so called "experts" on the different clothing lines that are sold on ebay are just those who want to drive traffic to their stores using false information and promises of the "Real Deal". If you want the correct information about real and fake merchandise go to the manufactors site. BUT WAIT! The Lacoste web site says real Lacoste Merchandise is sold by " Approved Lacoste Retailers" only, which are identified by window stickers  from the 800 Boutiques or 2000 Lacoste Comers around the world.  Then they add that any idems bought outside of these approved retailers can only be taken as counterfeits. So you can read into those comments all you want , but simple language that any items sold on the internet are fake unless they are sold by accredited retail outlets. And what about all those little things that makes one genuine and one that is fake? Folks there are no experts on ebay or any other auction or web site. The only expert on Lacoste is Lacoste , and they are not about to let their secrets out of the bag for every counterfeit manufactor to make a better fake. And there is no Lacoste University so people can tell you the real from the fake. Also Lacoste does use more than one manufactor than Peru. Two buttons or three? Lacoste on the buttons or not ? Alligator size fat or skinny , with or without claws or teeth ? White or Pearl color, or even better, different colored button to go with the color of the item? These can and will be discussed and agreed and disagreed upon till everyone is blue in the face. The bottom line is that there are exception to every kind of clothing that Lacoste or any one else makes. So I think that the people that say every Lacoste on ebay is fake are probably right, well according to Lacoste they are! If you want the real deal go to a approved retailer by Lacoste to buy Lacoste. And I bet when you go to one of these retailers that you will find alot of different combinations of merchandise even if they come from the same lot. It all depends on the approved manufactors in different countries that  Lacoste uses to make their wares. Bottom line Lacoste can have of alot of different design features so don't get tunnel vision by what others think are real and fake. And the only real deals out there are bought from approved outlets  for resale on the internet, I know there are REAL Lacoste merchandise being sold on ebay by honest sellers. I also believe that most sellers are true hearted honest dealers on ebay and of course like any thing else in life the minority of those sellers are dishonest people. Always read the feedbacks before you bid, buy from folks that have return policys, so when in doubt send it back. Try to work things out before leaving negitive feedback most sellers will work with you. Also remember most of the seller/dealers on ebay are hard working honest people , dont let one or two bad apples spoil your fun on ebay.
