The LS-120 Superdisk reader was manufactured in the late 1990's and was made by Mitsubishi Electric. The LS-120, and other SuperDisk readers, are built to read 3.5" SuperDisk diskettes, which appear very similar to standard 3.5" diskettes (floppy disks). A SuperDisk readers is able to run all SuperDisk diskettes 5 times faster than standard 3.5" diskettes run, which means less time transferring information from your computer's hard-drive to your disk drive and vice-versa.
The Superdisks are known for their capacity, speed, ease of use, and convenience. They are a powerful upgrade from standard 3.5" diskettes, running faster, smoother and more reliable. The diskettes themselves hold 83 times the data than standard 3.5" diskettes (usually 120MB), run 5x faster, are pre-formatted, and each have a Lifetime Warranty. Imation and Maxell are a couple of the companies that offer SuperDisks for an affordable price.
