How to increase your SELLS !

 Pictures,pictures and more pictures. The higher the quality of your pictrures,the more items you will sell. Simple fact.

I am sure you have all heard the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words" This applies to successful listings at auction.

People want to see exactly what the item is they are interested in purchasing. Whatever you list,include pics as many detailed pics as possible for your bidders.

This will also serve to cut down on the number of questions pertaining to your listings. Time is limited spent online,very difficult to respond in a timely manner.

 People,You wish to lose a bidder for life,just ignore the questions asked pertaining to listings,be it intentional or not on your part,you have lost a customer and they will not come back for the second opportunity to be ignored.

Take the time needed to make a quality ad. Do not take shortcuts in item descriptions.

Look at Power Seller ads. What are the product descriptions like ? How are they written ? First and foremost !

You NEVER want to copy another members ad, not EVEN a portion of it. I recntly caught someone doing this to me.They were incredibly brave or very stupid.

I run listing searches often, just for the purpose of investigation,to see if someone is doing this with my listings.

The person was copying my ad verbatum. Word for Word ! This is not permitted by E bay and he faced possible suspension !

Nothing wrong in looking at a listings quality or style and using what techniques which are proven to work in your listing. You could message any Power Seller on E bay and I would bet that they would give you as much information as they possibly can on how to write great ad descriptions and be glad to help you.You message me I will tell you EXACTLY what I use to build my ads.

Search E bay and find out what similar items are selling for !

Take the time to assess selling price of items which are like the ones you list. Can you sell for the same or a lower price and still make a little profit ?

Now the KEY word was LITTLE profit.You are looking to make a huge profit on each listing,expect some degree of disappointment.

I would much rather sell millions of products making a small profit than sell a few items, hoping to pull a thropy fish out of the lake !

I sell at a minimumal profit margin for several reasons.

Reason I: I really get a kick out of selling ! Helping people get what they desire !They know that they are getting the best deal out there when buying from me and belive me folks,they do search for the BEST deals on products.

Reason II: I do not know how you feel about it,but I value my time. I do not have time to write a listing,etc and see the item NOT sell !

Reason III: I am in the game for the long haul. I do not plan on disappearing off E bay in the near future.

Shipping-Shipping -Shipping and MORE Shipping !

Do not run a shipping con on bidders ! Some con artists who are selling really enjoy this fine art of true evil.

Con artists will list item for pennies on the dollar. Incredibly low price,then hide shipping costs in any manner possible.

They will charge an outrageous shipping cost WITH handling fees to turn their desired profit on item.

Totally against E bay policy.

What have sellers been charging for shipping item ? Can you ship at a cheaper price ?

Assess shipping costs from every angle. What can you do to reduce the shipping costs to the absolute minimum.

Can you package item differently to lower costs ? What means of delivery can you find at the lowest possible cost?

Buyers will avoid any item listings which do not include shipping costs like the plague ! Many have been stung by the con artists with their treachery.

One bitten,twice shy ! You better include shipping costs in your listings or you can watch the clock run on your ad with no bidders at all.

Listing that state FREE SHIPPING in title of descriptions will draw an incredible amount of traffic !

Figure your bottom dollar shipping costs and include this in assessment of placing reserve price on listing.

You want more people toview your listings,just try it and see what happens. Please message me when you try it. I would like to know the outcome !

Everyone is looking for bargains at auction and they rally to listings that are at NO RESERVE

Magic words which bidders long to see are "NO RESERVE". They hunt for these two words when viewing listings. Why ? Have you ever tried to figure out what the reserve price is on  an item you are bidding on? People just do not want the hassle of attempting to increase their bid alittle at a time,hoping to reach the magic number. You want more traffic,You want more sells,just give it a try in your title description.

Rule of thumb for assessing value of most USED items.


Item you are listing is in used condition,people will possibly buy at 60% of its value when new. depending on condition.

Avoid using the BUY IT NOW in your listings. costs more to list and people on E Bay WANT to BID !

BUY IT NOW ! Just isn't worth it folks. Costs money and takes all the fun out out it for prospective buyers. Unless you are listing items which sell way below market value.I am no advocate of BUY IT NOW. I abbreviate it and call it a BIN listing. Should have just taken the listing and printed it and thrown it in trash BIN because it just is not gonna work !
