Buying Leotards and Skating Dresses online can be tricky, and it's frustrating watching your little Gymnast or Skater try to perfect her performance in dancewear that doesn't fit.
I'd like to take the Mystery out of How to get a Proper Fit without taking the Kiddos to the mall....always a costly, time-consuming venture.
Dance Wear is Not Sized like street-wear.
Buy Online ~ Perfect Fit Everytime
It CAN be done!
Here's what you need to know to Buy Dance Wear Online:
Using a *cloth/vinyl* tape measure (grocery store, about $1.69) and notepad:
1.) Measure across chest, underarm to underarm, without stretching tape measure..just lay it against body.
2.) Measure all the way around body at that point also.
3.) Measure from exactly mid-shoulder to mid-crotch (this will be on an angle).
4.) For 'girth', place tape at mid-shoulder, let other end drop to floor, reach thru legs, and pull tape up to meet at starting point at mid-shoulder. Don't pull or stretch tape. This is the 'Girth'.
5.) Weigh the person being measured.
6.) Jot down the childs age, and the date.
(Buying for yourself? It's always Best to have someone else measure you.)
Most Sellers use Some or All of these Measurements. All manufacturers have their own ideas of size. Some even give size by age.
If the actual measurements aren't in a listing,
Ask Your Seller for them.
It's just more *Fun* shopping with the confidence that you will wind up with Dance, Skate, and Gymnastics wear that fits! Works for Swimsuits and most Costumes too.
