LADIES, Find the RIGHT FIT! How to measure yourself for your correct bra size:
The reason I decided to write this guide is because many women have worn the incorrect bra size for years without knowing. Simply because they were not taught the correct method of taking the correct measurements for the right fit. I hope you will find this guide helpful.
The two main components to measuring for the correct size bra are band size (32/34/36/38 etc.) and cup size (A/B/C/D etc.). Please remember that band size and cup size are not independant, but are interrelated measurements.
The band size remains the same: a 34 is always a 34, however when talking about cup size, a B is not always a B. Remember that as the band size increases (or gets bigger) the "U" of the cup also increases in the width. So a B cup is not the same in a 34, 36, 38 and so on.
If you go down in band size you may have to increase the cup size and as the band size increases you may have to decrease the cup size.
TAKING YOUR CORRECT MEASUREMENTS
BAND SIZE
Measure around your toros, directly under your bust. Making sure that the measuring tape is straight across your back and pull it snugly around you. Round off the number to the closest whole number, either up or down.
-
If the rounded off number is an even number ADD 4 inches
-
If the rounded off number is an odd number ADD 5 inches
examples:
34" + 4" = 38" Band Size
31" + 5" = 36" Band Size
The final total is your BAND SIZE
CUP SIZE
Stand with your arms to your side, and measure around the fullest part of your bust. Now round this number either Up or Down to the nearest inch.
- SUBTRACT your Band Size measurement from the second larger measurement. The difference is your CUP SIZE.
examples:
36" (Bust Measurement) - 34" (Band Size) = 2", which is equal is a B cup.
CUP SIZE CHART
The difference between your torso and bust measurement:

½"- 1" (2.5 cm) A
2"(5.1 cm) B
