The EXOS-2 is a perfect solution for the PC enthusiast with a serious need for some cooling power. With 700W of heat dissipation and 10mm input/output tubing, the EXOS-2 can keep even todays PC solutions running cool.
The unit comes with 3 temperature sensors which display on the unit's LCD readout. Users can toggle between the different sensors to get a real time reading. This helps decide which of the 11 speed settings they wish to use on the 2 120mm fans on the large radiator. Fan settings ran from AUTO to speed steps from 1-10. At AUTO the EXOS-2 determines the quietest fan speed to use while maintaining optical CPU thermal temperatures.

I found that running the fans at about the 5th speed setting kept my Northwood 3.2GHz Intel Extreme CPU, that was over clocked to 3.6GHz @ 966fsb, running at 35C at max load. At the 5th fan speed setting, the fans were not loud at all. Around the 7th fan speed you start to notice them, and at the highest setting, you can hear them really going. At the 10th setting, I have seen the CPU temperature drop down to as low as 17C when idle and about 22-25C at max load. The cooling block that I had on my X850 graphics card kept it running no hotter than 55C at max load, when before, it would peak to as hot as 80C with the stock heat sink.
I was skeptical at first with the installation but the instructions were step by step and very thorough. Everything from filling the unit to how to break it down for maintenance was shown.

PROS – Great way to keep a hot system running cool. Extends the life of your PC hardware.
CONS – Transporting the unit around with the liquid cooling unit is a pain. Not recommended if you take your system to LAN parties a lot.
