After the Kodak 126 -TR and 256 -TR 16mm projector came the 250 series. The difference with the 250 series is mainly the lamphouse! The 250 models have switched from the incendescent bulb to the halogen (EJL) lamp! Longer lasting cooler projection bulb! The older incendescent Pageants were designed to use three different watt lamps, 750, 1000 and the DHT 1200! The 250 series halogen projectors have a three way switch lamp setting switch. Low, medium and high for your brightness needs. The amplifer was also beefed up to a solid state 20 watt output. The 126 and 256 models have the same film thread path as the 250 models, they actually look about the same in appearence. Here is the line of Kodak 250 models available,
250E - Standard forward only/rewind/sound/silent speeds.
250S - Standard forward/reverse/rewind/sound/silent speeds
with Super 40 shutter/ manual soundtrack focus.
250A - High Intensity Marc 300
Standard forward/reverse/rewind/sound/silent speeds
with Super 40 Shutter/Plug in power supply.
120M- Should be known as 250M (optical/magnetic sound head)
Standard forward/reverse/rewind/sound/silent speeds
with Super 40 Shutter. Note this model can rotate the optical sound reader to magnetic sound reader while projector is in operation! This
is a great feature if running a reel of film with both mag and optical
soundtracks spliced to together!
