Many people are not aware when they purchase a Auciton Template that most all graphic designers are only selling the rights to use the Template, Me Page, Store Front or Logos for personal use on their auctions.  Even though most designers on ebay state that in their auctions most people do not read all the auctions so you must beware for your own benefit and the benefit of the designer.

You are buying only the rights of use and do not own the graphics or the html.

It is important to note that since you are only buying the rights to use the design that you make sure you do not use it in a way inconsistant with the purchase you made.

Example: If you purchase a Auction Template then you can only use that on your auctions for the id you purchased it for.  Should you take the design and make a Me Page or Storefront out of it then you are most likely in a terms of use conflict and could have your auctions, me page and storefront pulled.

You also can not share or use the backgrounds, logos etc on other sites or give them for use to others with out explicit written permission from the graphic designer.

Ebay's VeRo Department helps to protect the designer's intellectual property when mis-use is reported.

Most Graphic Designers will contact you in regards to mis-use in an effort to let you get back into compliance but will report if you do not.
