The excitement of eBaying bidding is very fun and challenging. Especially for items that are hard to find in the store. If you're an eBayer who bids on lots of items(sometimes all at once)like me.....you may receive an item that you're not satisfied with. This happens when you fail to 'ask questions' about the item you're bidding on. It's OK if this has happened to you already...because I'm going to give you a few tips on what to expect if you are the winning bidder:
1.-OBSERVE/EVALUATE: Always remember that the picture of the item does not always match what you receive in the mail, UPS, FedEX, etc.
2.-ASK QUESTIONS: Always remember this link on the item description page....'ASK SELLER A QUESTION'. 10 times out of 10, the seller will let you know the actual condition of the item you are selling. The seller is willing to communicate with you as they want to 'SELL' their items.
3.-CHECK/INSPECT: Open package carefully and examine it well, making sure that it is functionable. If the seller failed to decsribe the item correctly, contact the seller and let them know that you are not satisfied with the item. When you do this, it is important to handle this in a proffessional manner with respectful words as some eBay sellers will pull out of eBay, closing their account and you may never be able to contact them ever again!!
4.-COMMUNICATE: I recently received an item from a seller and I ran into the scenario in tip#3 above. I let the seller know and asked them 'what should I do in this case?' The seller refunded me 1/2 of the item purchased. I was still able to use the item I bought(TIP: you must carefully determine if you can use the item or not). I accepted the sellers resolution, and we still left eachother positive feedback. Remember; try to fix the problem first before you jump to conclusions. And if that doesn't work, then contact the eBay Resolution Forum for proceedings.(e.i., You buy a brand new XBOX 'still in the box', and when you receive the box....it's.....uhmmmm......EMPTY!!)
Those are just a few more tips from my eBaying. I have not left any negative feedback yet since I've joined eBay in 2003. And I hope to receive positive feedback as I will try my best to make my eBaying a good experience for myself and the seller/buyer.
Happy eBaying & Look forward to buying your Stuff ;-)
