I been playing games since the 1950's and been around for many years and have invested in modern tech to keep up with the times. Understand eBay generally are people who know what they are selling and average people trying to get rid of stuff they don't need. But there a few rotton apples, believe me. When it comes to getting the recent DVD, Xbox, PSP, CD Movies and Games. Understand that these could easy be copy and you getting rag. I been there a few times and will not let it happen again. When you view a few listing be careful to read every little word the seller is indicating about the item he selling. Key words are original package and US Market relate (or your country related) seal and never open.
Research the best price for the DVD or game. I keep a index and use Shopping Search Engine and Amazion Market Price Sellers. The Average S&H on eBay is from $4 to $10. I sell my DVD and Games on Amazon and then ship them no more then $2.10 third class that takes a week. Simple low cost to the buyer. That the way I am buying, as long as I get it reasonable time within a week is fine with me. I purchased a game it took over a month coming from Hong Kong which I did not know and did not have the serial number and I had to write the game maker and copy everything and labels and box and they gave me a code. Annoying. Some American seller have shipping outlets in Asia and that where they some from and possible copy. Know know the label of the DVD or Game and the Packaging of it. Notice and bar number and other information. I take care to know what it looks like and look for signs that everything is correct. I want seal, original from the maker direct. Nothing less.
Use games and DVD are harder to tell. I would asked the seller to take a picture of the CD/DVD grid side for condition. If he takes a picture of the actual CD then he a honest seller. Many portables suchs as GameBoy Advance and DS and others are different. More times they sell only the cartridge without the manuel or box. If you are Ok with this. Then it should be at least 25% less then retail to start and enything more you are losing money. Retail such as Game Stop and EB set the price. I check to see what they want for the cartridge and go online and see other post to get a read how much I to up to. Worst I get it at GameStop, if soemthing wrong with the game. At least I coudl get it back.
DVD Blockbuster and GameStop/EB sell used DVD. Some are rental or retail used. That fine with me it not a rip copy and I alway check the other side to see if it been damaged. GameStop/EB sell 2 for one and with their buyer card for used games and DVD I get more off. I pickup 12 movies 4 free and 10% off for $36 plus tax. Nothing on eBay would top that. I am fine with used stuff. They are great buy and value. I don't purchased anything full retail ever. I wait and see how much i could "steal" it for.
I do this as a game. Wish there was a game show that would does this. That worth looking then Superhero running down a back alley.
