So your thinking about buying a kilt, but were do you start. After you enter kilt into the search engine it comes up with over one thousand responses. Socks are not simply socks there and expression of the kilt. Referred to as Kilt Hose they are usually cream in color with a variety of embroidery at the top. Add flashes to the kilt hose to complete the set. Flashes are colored flags that fit under the rolled down top of the kilt hose.

Foot wear can either be wing tipped shoes or ghillie brougues either will do. Ghillie brogues are traditional highland shoes that look like wing tips but have no shoe tongue and long laces that wrap around the calf. The shoe lace knot is twisted three times before the bow is ties.
