I have a very small work area for building models and the only option I have for painting is using what spray paint is avalible and the one thing that used to make me mad was when I applied my second or third coat the paint nozzle would be clogged or it would not flow freely. One simple and easy way to help with this issue That I started using is to buy one of the Testers 1/4 oz Paint thinners jars and take the nozzle off and soak it between coats. After each coat just pop the nozzle off of your spray paint and drop it in the jar of thinner. When you are ready to apply your next coat just grab a pair of tweezers and fish it out of the jar and re-install it on your can. Make sure your shake as much thinner as possible out of it before you re-install it and then spray a couple of quick shots thru it to get all of the thinner out of it before you apply your next coat. This method with keep your paint nozzles flowing free. You can also use this method if you do not plan on using the paint again for sometime.Just let the nozzles soak until you are ready to use it again. The paint thinner keeps the paint from drying in thenozzle and does not do any damage to it in the process.
