I know this isn't an ordinary guide in most your minds, but those of us who work from home selling on eBay know exactly what I'm talking about!

I've found certain little things that seem to help me keep eBay seperate from my personal life, even though I work out of my home.

I've found that the best time for me to start working on the computer is as soon as the kids are off to school and the hubby is out the door for work. I work the same hours as they are at school/work...this way, I get more done, and no distractions.

My 'ebay room' is unavoidably in my dining room..so there is a bit of a mess.  I've got a long table with common shipping supplies under it, and the items I'm selling, or about to sell on top.  When we have family dinners, I can easily put the items under the table, throw a tablecloth over the entire thing, and hide it all....BUT...i usually slow down on selling around the week before a holiday, so that there isn't that much to hide..it seems to help.

I have a small mud porch that I put all my boxes and bulk packing material on..it's out of the way, and neatly organized.

It's easy for me to seperate eBay and Homelife, since my entire extended family are all clients of mine, and they enjoy watching the whole eBay process!

I would highly suggest that you have a small shed, or closet that you can quickly "hide" any of your eBay materials in case of a family get together or dinner. This protects the items from accidents, as well as de-clutterized your area.

If you have an office that is solely for eBay, then I guess you wouldn't really have a problem with all this as I do. But in a 4 bedroom home, with 3 kids, I simply have to make room for what I need. This seems to work out great for me and my family both.

I have made it clear to all my clients and family, that I work on the computer from 8am until 3pm on weekdays. If they have any questions pertaining to eBay, I can answer them via phone at those times, or can be reached via email 24/7.

It's an awesome thing being able to stay home and work out of the house...I definitely wouldn't trade it for anything.....I'm just learning how to juggle home & eBay to where no one feels ignored.

I would be happy to answer ANY questions you might have about eBay...I know there is live help, but they seem so scripted, and give you an answer right out of a manual....I've had the experience, so I'm here to help you if you need it. Feel free to email me anytime...I'll get back to you within 24 hours.
