Securing Your Computer:  Keeping Windows & Your Computer Safe

There are many ways to protect your computer using Windows applications.  This method will help to make your system more secure.

Windows Update

  • Open INTERNET EXPLORER
  • Select WINDOWS UPDATE from the TOOLS menu
  • Follow the directions on Microsoft's site
  • Download and Install critical updates
  • Turn on AUTOMATIC UPDATES to get automatic Windows Security Patches and bug fixes
