Intro- This guide is to help guitarist who are looking for that perfect tone. I first learned about Robert Keeley right here on Ebay in 1998 but didn't know anything about modified effects or boutique effects. I have been playing guitar for nearly 30 years and did not understand what all the fuss was about. I have since replaced my effect board and now own a nice collection of Keeley tone machines.

Keeley Electronics- I first met Mr.Keeley in 1999, I was in Oklahoma City on business and stopped by to pick up my first ever modified effect a Keeley modded Ibanez TS-9. We had a great conversation about music, equipment , and of course tone! Robert's only design at the time was the Keeley Compressor and Time Machine Boost which he informed me that I would want to consider both effects because of what it would do for my playing and tone, he was right. After purchasing a Keeley Compressor I was hooked on my new tone. Since then Keeley has not only created a large amount of original designs but he has improved on his long list of mods he offers.

I own a vast majority of his products and have toured the factory several times. The one thing that got my business besides great tone is the outstanding customer service Keeley Electronics offer. In today's fast paced world Robert and his staff make you feel right at home and really love talking about music, effects, and how you can sound better which hopefully means you will play better and longer. It worked for me and my tone has never been where it is today. I'm a gigging guitarist and quality workmanship and road worthiness means something to me. I have a home recording studio and  the better the sound going in the better your songs will sound and Keeley products do just that.

I never knew that modifiying a old unused effect could breathe such tone life back in em' but it worked for me and they are back on my board. Such as a Boss DS-1, CE-2, BD-2, OD-3, PH-1, TR-2, DD-3 just to name a few Robert has done for me. I also picked up his Cry Baby Modded wah pedal which is amazing. On the botique side of effects, I love my Time Machine Boost, Compressor, Fuzz Head, and Nova Wah. Keeley effects are musical, plain and simple, they have an openess about them and look great as well.
