How to tie a katanabukuro - fusahimo

The seam side of the sword bag accords with the back of the sword.

Turn the upper part of the sword onto the obverse side.
It is necessary to have a one finger space at the bottom to prevent it from tearing.

Roll the bag to the obverse side.

Wrap the fusahimo / cord on the bag.

The tying process

Pull the ends into each direction and tighten it.

Finished.

I would like to thank Sumie Kashima of Japanese Sword Shop "Usagiya" for providing the pictures in this guide.
