The Ka-Bar 1480 is one of best new knife designs to come about for law enforcement, it is intended as a last option knife, can be mounted belt, ankle, arm or upsidedown across chest, very much a tactical knife, sheath seems to hold it securely, there are dummy training knives in this configuration also, (orange),  many law enforcement units now use and carry the  1480 or 1482, there is also and smaller virsion to be mounted on front of boot laces, lightweight , compact
