Wow, I wish I had searched the net more carefully before dealing with these folks! I got their information from Ebay and sent them a private message for a quote on transportation of my vehicle from Philly to Cincinnati. They came in at about half of what most other carriers were asking, but I found a couple of positive reviews in their feedback (which is mostly OLD and from people they bought stuff from), so I decided to give them a try. BIG MISTAKE!!
I was quoted $295 for the job and 3-10 days for pickup of my vehicle. After 13 days, they still had not picked up the vehicle. I called almost every day in an attempt to get an IDEA when the vehicle was to be picked up. On at least 2 occasions, Michelle told me "the driver's on his way there TODAY to get it". On at least 4 occasions Michelle told me she would look into it and "get back to me in 5-10 minutes". She never returned ANY of my calls.
I felt as if they were screening my calls, as in the last few days of fighting with them, before finally canceling my contract (yesterday), they pretty much would not answer their phone unless I called from a different number. When I suspected that they might be doing this, I tried calling anonymously and found that their business does not accept anonymous calls.
The only information shared with me about why things were taking so long was "The owner is an A-hole - I'm going to open my own business and take you with me, so I can take care of you". As if not returning my calls, and lying frequently was taking care of me. Right, Michelle.
KAT Transport needs to learn a thing or two about doing business. Respect your customer and do what you say you're going to do, would be my advice. DO NOT DEAL WITH KAT TRANSPORT!!
