Just Starting Charm Business? Fundraiser A+  Exposure!

Are you just starting out with your charm business ( of other home base).  I tried something different and it worked for me, so I thought I would share it with you.

I do alot of custom photo crafts and I don't have time for craft shows or traveling for that matter and occasionally I can make a local event.  So, here is a thought to ponder.

I volunteer for a local activity center (sort of like a boys & girls club) as a dance instructor for competitive dance.  We needed to raise money fast for the girls gear, poms,,etc.  So, too the point:

I took 18 link   9mm bracelet and custom made a team sport logo with basketball, volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, softball, baseball and of course football.  I took 10 of the 9mm links and made them custom photo and the other 8 links were starter and sold each bracelet for $19.95.  You can probably get more depending on your local area.

I made flyers for the fundraiser with photo's of the bracelets and marked them A,B C ....da da da.   On the back I made name address ...da da da.  Each girl turned in order at 3 sold intervals so that I would not be swamped with orders.

Needless to say we are only in our 2nd week and 5 girls our of 17 have turned in orders totalling around  750.00 so far.  I donated all my material so I didn't make money on this deal...but.............

I placed a Thank you card / business card in with each bracelet sold..(word of mouth is the best way to spread the word).

I have calls comming in every day for alot of my items and I didn't even have to leave my house but once a week for dance practice.  My next adventure is setting up a homemade display at a craft outlet displaying my custom charms, etc.

Note:  It was slow at first but once the bracelets hit the local area word was out."where did you get that"...da da da. and be sure to have enough supplies on hand..not good business to run out in the middle of a project like this.

Hope this helps you as it has helped me.  Take care and God Bless.
