Jose 'Sway' Penala - 2006 American Idol Jose 'Sway' Penala

I am really amazed that Jose 'Sway' Penala qualified for American Idol's top 24. Jose Penala never stood out during the earlier rounds: his voice isn't superb and - judging by the Hollywood round -  Sway doesn't have the strongest work ethic. But what I love best about Sway (and I'm being completely sarcastic here) is his complete lack of personality... or maybe even intelligence. Fox asked Jose Sway Penala a series of character questions like "What would people be surprised to learn about you?" and his lame answer: "I have no hair." Amazingly - that was Sway's longest answer as he seemingly has no vocabulary larger than four letters. I'll borrow from Sway's vocabulary and say he has a ZERO percent chance of winning.

Fox posted their Jose Penala factoids - the night before the first week of voting begins (Tuesday is the women's competition, Wednesday is the men's, and Thursday is the voting). Below are the Sway facts from Fox:

March 1st Jose 'Sway' Penala Update

Don't Sway your votes... Don't Vote for Sway to Stay. Catch me terrible drift yet? Jose Sway Penala tanked tonight with a far-from-jouyous rendition of "Overjoyed." Sway was pretty awful - lacking an emotion or tune. His voice was off-key for most of the performance and even cracked during a couple points. My guess is that tonight Jose Sway Penala goes Bye Bye as he rides out of the studio with David the Crooner.
