Many of today's top young actresses got their start in the world of American soap operas, and Jordana Brewster is no exception.  While she was just a teenager, she starred on two of the longest running soaps, All My Children and the now defunct As the World Turns.  Playing Nikki Munson on the latter, she made a name for herself as a talented and beautiful actress to be reckoned with.

Although she was born in Panama City, Panama, Jordana spent the first six years of her life in London, England.  She spent the next four years in Brazil, where she learned to speak Portuguese.   At the age of 10, Jordana's family moved to Manhattan, and she decided to pursue a career in the world of professional acting and performing.

Jordana studied at the prestigious New York Professional Children's School, and by the time she reached her teens, she was appearing on television.  Many younger fans discovered Jordana during her big screen debut in the popular teen horror flick, The Faculty. Hollywood stood up and took notice of the talented young actress, and the roles started flying in.

If you want to be a hot young Hollywood starlet, you have to have a breakout role.  For Jordana, that role was playing Mia Toretto in the box office sensation, .
