When you weave on a triloom, the resulting fabric is a triangle. Using a simple joining technique, you can create almost any shape, squares, pinwheels, jackets, vests, handbags or anything you can imagine.
We are often asked, "What can be made with a Laffing Horse TriLoom?" We answer "Almost anything!"
Once the pieces - the triangles - are made, they can be connected into many different shapes.

The guide that follows describes creating a square, but the process is virtually identical for any two edges being joined.

Begin by placing your triangles edge to edge where you want them to join.

Take your weaving hook and pull the beginning thread of one triangle through the beginning loop of the other triangle. Then, crossing from one triangle to the other, hook the next loop through and then the next loop. Think of binding off when you are knitting, or making pot holder edges on a pot holder loom.

When you get to the opposite side, pull the end thread out through the loop.
Congratulations, you have a square!

Once the pieces are completed, you can go on to create bigger things.

Purses made with 5 triangles and a crochet shoulder strap, Scarves made with 13 triangles, Jacket made with many triangles.
